We
are ATV vacation friendly (all-terrain vehicle) here at the Loralea
Country Inn Resort. Close to 300 km of crown land trails and over 1700
km of HATVA Ontario ATV trails supported by the Haliburton ATV Association.
Ample parking on resort for trailers and ATVs, sorry no riding on resort
grounds unless in parking lots. You can ride the side of the highway
or trailer your machines to the trails. (Approx. 15 minute ride). Ready
to plan your next big Haliburton ATVing adventure getaway then give
the Haliburton Highlands a try, all levels - beginners to expert.
The
Loralea is comprised of seven cottages and cabins on Halls Lake right
off highway #35 between Haliburton, Dorset and Minden Ontario, Canada.
Resort accommodations for couples or ATV vacation groups up to 30 people
can be arranged. Bring your own ATVs. ATV
rentals are hard to find.

ATVing in Canada Getaways - Ontario Trails
A few trails close to the Loralea for Ontario ATVing
Pine Springs Road - North of Hwy # 118, west of Kushog Lake
running east and west between Hwy #35 and the Black River Road. This
is a forest access road with the beginning municipal section from Hwy
#35 which is open by by-law to ATV on. A crown land access with many
trails leading off the main artery. Used as a snowmobile trail in winter.
Beaverdam - Running south from Pine Springs Road around Anson
Lake and back to Pine Springs. Also extends down to Hwy #118 via the
Paul Lake trail, and joins the Outhouse trail. A deep woods trail with
about 30% used for snowmobiling in winter
Paul Lake - Short trail extension from the Beaverdam trail to
Hwy #118. Deep woods trail used for Snowmobiling in winter
Tingey Lake - This trail extends off the Beaverdam Trail and
runs north to southwest running parallel to the Pine Springs Road before
taking a more southerly direction. It is a deep woods trails but part
of the area was logged a number of years ago. It is a snowmobile trail
in winter.
Black Lake - This trail loop extends north from Pine Springs
Road to the south end of Black Lake with a different return (Bluegrass
route for part of the trip)
Deep Woods - Part of the this trail was logged two winters ago.
Was a snowmobile trail previously that crossed Black Lake
Bluegrass - This is the alternate return route from Black Lake
to Pine Springs Road. It is a deep woods trail and is part of the Black
Lake Trail that has not been logged
Sherbourne - Running east from the Highway #35, and south of
Raven Lake and north east to the south end of Kawagma Lake. Shirts north
of Sherbourne Lake, with fire road access to Sherbourne Lake. Deep woods
trail Snowmobile use in the winter
Big Hawk Lake - Running from Highway #35 east, north of big
Hawk Lake and connecting to the Sherborne Trail east of Sherbourne Lake.

Winter Atving in Haliburton
In Winter (2012) ride the groomed ATV and Snowmobile trails in the
60,000 acres of wilderness at the Haliburton forest Wildlife Reserve.
The program offers one free day's ATV riding for members in good standing
(snowmobiles and other off road vehicles are excluded). Must be reserved.
