Haliburton Cottage Rentals - Winter Resorts Ontario Ice Fishing

Haliburton Ontario Winter Resort - family resort offering winter cottages for your winter vacations and weekend get aways while ice fishing on Halls Lake. Just picture sitting in a warm hut, sheltered from the cold wind and blowing snow, a world that is peaceful, it's like watching a fire but no flames, all you have is your tip-ups stationed near you and the dream of the big one (Lake Trout). After the days adventure its back to the resort for a homecooked meal and a sit down by the fireplace with a good book. Ice huts, 2 and 4 seaters are available and located 300' from this Winter cottage resort, within view of your cottage. Please book in advance. Try your luck or test your skills at ice fishing for lake trout on Halls Lake, one of the deepest lakes in Ontario. Bring your skates, there is an ice rink for skating by the middle of January, weather permitting.

Note: Due to no reasonable insurance coverage available the Loralea Country Inn Resort will not have any huts available for 2008, plans for huts in 2010 are in process. You can still ice fish from the resort by bring your own portable hut or without huts - Sorry that's the best we can due for now.
