Ontario Winter Resorts - Looking to go Ice fishing in Haliburton then try Halls Lake north of Minden Ontario. Halls Lake is over one mile wide and approximately two miles long. One of Ontario's deepest lakes at 140 feet at the north end to 260 feet in the south end. Very clean lake which makes for great swimming and not over populated with boats. Ice fishing on Halls Lake is popular with the main catch being lake trout and small mouth bass in spring, summer and fall.

The Loralea is your Haliburton and Minden winter resort with cozy winterized cottages and cabins with fireplaces, we can set you up with accommodations in winter cottages, meals and ice hut rentals. The fishing takes place from January to March right out front of the resort on Halls Lake just 25 kil north of Minden on highway #35.

Note: Due to no reasonable insurance coverage available the Loralea will not have any huts available for 2008, plans for huts in 2008 are in process. You can still ice fish by bring your own portable hut or without huts - Sorry that's the best we can due for now.
