Ontario, one of the most popular travel destinations in Canada, second
largest province covering more than one million square kilometers. Noted
for being the metropolitan centre for industry and culture with a vast
amount of wilderness land for the outdoor lovers to take in Mother Nature
at its best. To fill in some of your free time when on vacation try
visiting our world-class museums and art galleries or enjoy the architecture,
culture and entertainment in Ontario's largest city, Toronto being the
third-biggest live theater capital in the world.
With a population of more than 12 million people, Ontario is home to
about one in three Canadians, eighty per cent of which live in urban
centers, largely in cities located on the shores of the Great Lakes.
The rest of us live in the country, small towns, farms and smaller rural
districts. Many city dwellers like to spend their lakeside vacations
in the country, that's where we are.
The Loralea Country Inn Resort is your family four-season waterfront
resort on Halls Lake in the Haliburton Highlands of Ontario Canada offering
comfortable housekeeping accommodations in lakeside cottages for families
looking to enjoy a summer and winter vacation or studio cabins for couples
seeking a romantic weekend getaway in the country.
The Haliburton Highlands is a great place to visit in all the seasons.
From skiing, dogsledding and snowmobiling in winter, atving, sailing
and collecting them sun rays on summer vacations, to hiking and taking
in the Fall Colors tours in autumn, there is something for everyone.
The Highlands is close to the famous Algonquin Park and Haliburton Forest
Reserve. The Haliburton area has plenty of sights to see and trails
to hike on where you will run into the official flower of Ontario, the
trillium, a delicate white three petalled flower that grows in profusion
in the wild woodlands of the province in early spring. Every year were
lucky enough to spot a few on the resort grounds. You may even run into
one of our four legged friends like a deer, moose or black bear.

Toronto is the largest city in Canada and the fourth largest in North
America. Some of the key attractions of the city are the CN Tower, the
Harbour Front, the Skydome, the Hockey Hall of Fame, and the Toronto
Zoo.
Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, offers a variety of fun activities
and museums to fill your day. The Ontario tourist cannot leave Ottawa
without visiting Parliament Hill, the Rideau Canal, and the National
Gallery.
Known as the honeymoon capital, Niagara Falls is one of Ontario's main
tourist attractions. Twelve million tourists flock here every year to
witness the wonder of the falls. Niagara Falls is open and active 24
hours a day, 365 days a year, just like us, never close and we're always
around to welcome our resort guests.

Many are beautiful lakefront properties nestled in towering forests

Summer Family Holiday - Building Sand Castles - Playing
in the Sand
Sandcastles in the Sand - The two basic building ingredients,
sand and water, are available in abundance on our beach, so most sand
play takes place there. Good sand sculpture sand is somewhat dirty,
having silt and clay that helps lock the irregular shaped sand grains
together, so we're not perfect we just have beach sand.
